The journal is owned by the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Ilorin (FES UNILORIN), which supports the journal and its publishing operations. However, the majority of the cost of publication is funded by Article Publication Charges (APCs) paid by authors or their institutes. These are levied for the Journal of Environmental Spectrum and cover publication costs so that articles can be made freely available for open access to all readers worldwide. 

The fixed standard Article Processing Charge of NGN25,000 ($20), excluding VAT tax, applies to all manuscripts submitted after September 19, 2024. This charge includes all review process costs, systems, typesetting, web publication, and long-term archiving.

Out of the NGN25,000 APC, an initial payment of NGN6,000 ($5) must be made at the submission to initiate the peer review process. Kindly CLICK HERE to make your payment.
